Problem
Client required a complete export of all U.S. VRBO properties (200K+) including deep property-level data, but the platform enforces pagination limits, CAPTCHA protection, and bot-detection mechanisms. VRBO limits listings per search result page (~300 cap per area). Full USA coverage required city-by-city and area-by-area traversal. CAPTCHA protection and aggressive bot-detection. Dynamic content loading (JavaScript-rendered data).

Built a scalable Selenium-based browser automation framework with IP rotation and controlled request throttling to safely extract 200,000+ U.S. property listings and all nested property details. Workflow covered: Traverse USA locations state to city to sub-area to bypass 300-listing cap; Collect 200K+ property URLs; Store URLs in MongoDB before detail extraction; Process detail pages in controlled batches; Extract title, description, amenities, host info, rules, policies.
